Regular events:
- Every Sunday (Mondays on long weekends) evening HPVOoO members informally gather at 18:00 for food, then often go for a ride, and sometimes for a hot beverage or ice cream.
- NOTE:*** Our regular venue (Vietnam Noodle House, 706 Somerset W) has just closed permanently with less than a week notice. ***

- The Break up the Week Ride
departs on Wednesday mornings at 9 AM from the Gatineau Park Gamelin
information kiosk between April and November. This is *not* an HPVOoO sponsored event!
- There are Critical Mass rides in many cities on the planet on the last
Friday of each month roughly from April until October organized by no-one.
In Ottawa they have been starting at Confederation Part from the NE corner of
Elgin/Laurier at about 17:15. This is *not* an HPVOoO sponsored event!

Saturday July 17th:
The 12th Hacker Bike
Ride takes place the Saturday after the Ottawa Linux Symposium. We'll start
at 11:00 at
the corner of Colonel By Drive and Daly Avenue just outside the Congress
Centre where the Symposium is held. Local ride marshals to help guide
our 30-some out of town guests would be most welcome. We may split up
into several rides depending on abilities and interests of participants.

Sunday August 29th, 13:00, 12:00 staging at The Garden of the Provinces (Wellington Street near Bay) Capital Pride Parade. Come JOIN us!!! Alls you need is a bike n' a smile....
Parade finishes up at City Hall, Fesitval Plaza.

- G.Y.S.T. time (a.k.a.: D.A.T.)
- build costumes and floats
- ride around some lucky neighbourhood entertaining kids
- ride around entertaining pubbers

Saturday, November, 18:00 ?: Orleans Santa's Parade of Lights: We won "Best Novelty" prize in 2008 and 2009.

In 2005, we won third place and donated the money back to the Food Centre of Rockland. Here are photos from 2005. We had fun with rented computerized trackspots. :)

- Annual HPVOoO Parking Lot Meet
- {some big parking lot}.
- Come and join us for an opportunity to meet fellow cyclists, and to see and
ride some alternative pedal-powered machines. Recumbent bikes, trikes, and
cargo vehicles will be on hand.

A.R.M.P.I.T. East parade vehicle building session

HPVOoO is interested in organizing an Ice bike race on the canal
during Winterlude in conjunction with the NCC. Mike Plummer has been involved
in the past and it willing to be a resource person for this. The Kanata
mountain bike club is also interested.

Annual Christmas "Help Santa" Toy Parade
organized by the Ottawa Firefighters.
HPVOoO has had entries every year since 2002, winning "Best Novelty" prize in 2004 and 2007.
Dress up and decorate your bikes. Ride with us. Expect cool but nice
weather, and lots of good cheer.
